Saturday night we saw Lovedrug, Shiny Toy Guns, Yellowcard, and Blue October at the House of Blues in Orlando.
Grade: A-.
That's probably the best $40 I've ever spent on a concert। The only reason it receives an A- is that none of the bands took credit cards for their merchandise (and of course we forgot to bring a lot of cash). We would have bought a bunch of CDs and t-shirts, too.
Lovedrug is kind of old Muse-sounding, but a little less electronic.
I just downloaded Lovedrug from eMusic (so saved myself some money there), and am downloading Shiny Toy Guns from iTunes in a minute.
By the way, everyone is fired for not telling me to listen to Shiny Toy Guns earlier. They rocked. I'm all over them now.
Yellowcard was outstanding, too, but I'm not sure I'm going to get all of their albums. Probably just download a bunch of songs from iTunes.
Oh, and of course Blue October kicked ass. They played my favorite song ("HRSA") that they didn't play the last time I saw them.
Good stuff overall.
The only other thing I do, other than work, family, and sit at the computer, is run. This is my story.

It's Friday and I'm (Re)starting a blog.
Yes, it's about time for me to have an outlet again for writing. Not that I ever had one before, but I blogged here and there, and read blogs from time-to-time, but never really put that much into it.
Next month (November) I'm participating in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo.com). It boils down to this: "write a 50,000 word novel between November 1st and 30th." 50,000 divided by 30 days is approximately 1,667 words a day. That seems like a lot, but the idea is just to get writing - not have a 100% coherent novel, but to just get it down on paper (computer) to get it out of your system. I have a few ideas rolling around in my head, so I'm going to attempt it for the first time. I figure what the hell. Maybe I'll write something halfway decent, revise it, and make a million bucks selling it.
If you want to add me as a writing buddy, my profile is here: http://www.nanowrimo.org/user/210028
Hopefully I'll add more to this blog on a daily basis.
On a side-note: today is the 9th anniversary of when I moved into my 1st house (that we still live in). I don't think I've ever lived at the same address for 9 years. Wow, the stability is numbing.
